Our Beliefs
God: We believe in the one ever-living, eternal God. He is Holy, all powerful, the Creator of everything, the only wise God. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Acts 17:24-26, Revelation 4:2, Isaiah 44:24)
The Bible: We believe that the Bible is the infallible word of God and it is forever settled in heaven and it is truth and does not change, and it is the final authority (John 17:17, Psalms 119:89).
Jesus Christ: We believe that Jesus Christ is the One true God, the creator of heaven and earth, who manifested Himself in the flesh to die for the sins of humanity (John 1:1-3, 10, 14, 1 Timothy 3:16). We believe that through His sacrifice, we have salvation and another chance. We identify with Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection, through the new birth of water and Spirit (John 3:5).
Salvation: Salvation is not earned or gained, but by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We receive salvation through obeying the gospel (Acts 2:38). We must repent of our sins, be water baptized by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking with other tongues.
Repentance represents dying to sin, water baptism in Jesus' name represents burial with Him, and the infilling of the Holy Spirit, represents resurrection, to walk in newness of life (Romans 6:3-11, Galatians 3:27).
There is no salvation outside of obedience to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)
Eternity: We believe in the soon coming return of Jesus where His church will be caught up to meet Him (The Rapture). We believe that Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence. We will either be eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with God only through salvation. (Acts 1:11, Romans 6:23, Philippians 3:20-21)
Christian Living: God calls His people to be holy and live according to the example in the Word of God. We are called to be not conformed to this world. We practice modesty, purity, and righteousness because our body is the temple of God. (Hebrews 12:14, 1 Corinthians 3:16-17, Romans 2:2).
